Coffee

Yesterday I returned from a weeklong company conference in Stockholm where I learned that the Swedes are among the most prolific coffee-drinking societies on the planet. The Dutch are near the top of that list as well. I guess there’s a correlation between the long dark winter months and the amount of caffeine that people consume.

I went out several times in search of decent coffee while I was there - to satisfy my own cravings. Conference center coffee just doesn’t do it for me. But I never did find anything as good as what I make at home.

But this morning I sat down at my kitchen table with a cup of proper espresso, and all is right with the world.
